Serving an area which had been faced with economic decline and a lack of investment, Prima 200 has made a real difference to the provision of health and social care services in the region, as well as helping to stimulate local regeneration. While its initial focus was on developing buildings to support improved primary care provision, its success in bringing partners together has made it a powerful vehicle for integrating healthcare facilities with wider public services, from those delivered by local authorities to social and community care providers.

Working in partnership with its long term private sector development and investment partner, Prime plc, it also provides a broad range of bespoke consultancy services to assist clients in driving productivity, meeting clinical aims and achieving efficiencies through innovation.

Since its inception in 2005, Prima 200 has invested c. £72.5 million in 11 new buildings across the region, acting as a catalyst for wider regeneration. It has also provided project management services for a further four capital projects which have been funded by the public sector.

Having delivered a wide range of high quality schemes, Prima 200 has made a positive difference to people’s experience of healthcare services and its developments continue to meet the challenges of today’s health and social care agenda. From developing a multi-award winning housing, health and leisure scheme that brings together extra care housing for the over 55s, to the UK’s first integrated sexual health unit and sexual assault referral centre, Prima 200 is at the forefront of innovation and excellence.
