Cobridge Community Health Centre
The three-storey, state-of-the-art community health centre comprised of two buildings will bring together two local GP practices and a number of healthcare facilities
Cobridge Community Health Centre is the successful realisation of a shared ambition by several organisations to respond to a need for better access to high quality healthcare and community services in North Staffordshire.
Incorporating a state-of-the-art community health centre and a purpose built sexual health unit, the scheme provides a range of specialist services, offering patients greater choice and the option to be treated outside of hospital. The community-led nature of the project has fostered a sense of pride and ownership in the scheme.
Designed in consultation with patients, staff and local community groups, the campus-style development recreates a village centre for Cobridge, incorporating the adjacent church and celebrating the area’s rich heritage. The scheme has also signposted a positive direction for the town, which is part of a wider programme of regeneration in North Staffordshire.
